Advocate Health Care is expanding its Neighborhood Care network on Chicago’s South Side.

The effort is part of Advocate’s broader $1 billion commitment to increase access to care and give residents more options for same-day, nonemergency services closer to home.

Four sites are now open, with two more expected to open later this spring.

The new locations include Salem Care Center, House of Hope, The Cov and Advocate Trinity Hospital’s Professional Office Building, with additional sites planned for El Valor Rey B. Gonzalez Children & Family Center and Salud Center.

The expansion aims to make healthcare more accessible by bringing services into places residents already know and trust.

Patients can receive same-day, nonemergency care, connect with healthcare providers and access resources that address both health and social needs. Financial counselors are also available to help patients understand coverage options and healthcare costs.

Advocate leaders said the new sites were developed in response to community feedback about the need for more healthcare options closer to home.

“These Neighborhood Care sites are a direct response to what our neighbors told us they need — more access to care, closer to home,” Michelle Y. Blakely, PhD, president of Advocate Trinity Hospital and Advocate Health Care’s South Side Transformation, said in a statement. “Reaching six sites is an important milestone, and we remain focused on expanding care in ways that build trust and remove barriers.”

Advocate Health Care said the Neighborhood Care network is expected to continue growing, with plans to expand to at least 10 locations.
