I’ve never heard other travelers bragging about the food in London, but it’s clear they’ve missed this hidden gem that I stumbled upon. It satisfied my every craving and expanded my culinary horizons!
Meet the TĪNG Restaurant, located in the Shangri-La London Hotel. You’ll want to remember this name as the must-visit spot for unforgettable dining once you step foot in London. TĪNG offers a five-star food experience that is worth every pound.
Conveniently located just around the corner from the London Bridge station, TĪNG provides some of the best views of the city from its perch on the 35th floor, all while you enjoy delectable dishes.
My partner and I indulged in a 3-course meal with wine pairings, and it was absolutely amazing! The sommelier expertly paired each course with the perfect wine, enlightening us on the wonders of each selection.
Before the main courses arrived, we were treated to a bowl of sourdough rye bread—absolutely delicious! Just be sure to save room for the main dishes, as they are the true stars of the meal.

THE STARTER
One of the standout dishes was the Dorset Crab, perfectly complemented by a refreshing cucumber and Granny Smith apple sauce. The light and refreshing taste of the Dorset Crab is a great way to awaken your taste buds! This muffin-style white crab was oozing with Granny Smith apple juice on the side and topped with my favorite cucumbers. Once you get to the middle, you’ll be exposed to a creamy filling that makes you want to close your eyes and savor every taste. This seductively desirable starter was paired with an Alvarinho wine of Portugal.

The Chalk Stream Farm Sea Trout was a highlight, served with a delightful combination of fennel, ruby grapefruit, and avocado. Topped with these ingredients, the dish offers a perfect balance of sweet and savory to cultivate your senses. The first bites are reminiscent of a “meatier smoked salmon steak,” leaving a lasting impression. The sea trout was paired with a German Riesling wine, which complemented the flavors and enhanced the overall experience.

It’s safe to say that our dishes were the perfect warm-up to prepare us for what was next!
THE MAIN COURSE
Monkfish with coconut and lemongrass sauce, brown shrimp, and spring onion. Trusting our intuition led us to choose the Monkfish, and I’m glad we did. Absolutely delicious! The coconut and lemongrass sauce perfectly complemented the fish, adding just the right amount of flavor. Each bite glided effortlessly, invigorating my senses. More, please!

The Cotswolds Chicken Breast with Sweetcorn Miso, Girolles, and Woodland Sorrell immediately caught our attention and satisfied every craving. Topped with these delicious ingredients, it was a tasty delight! Accompanied by sautéed new potatoes with truffle crème fraîche, this dish was a culinary treat. We shared bites and found it absolutely yummy! The scrumptious combination was perfectly paired with a Pinot Noir.

THE DESSERT
Cherry Pavlova with cherry sorbet and pistachio cream. My sweet tooth is always on the lookout for dessert, so we were thrilled to see what awaited us. The cherry pavlova exceeded all our expectations. This dessert was everything we wanted but didn’t knowwe needed. The heavenly flavors of the cherry pavlova melted in our mouth, each bite reconnected us with the true joy of life. We felt immense gratitude for the delightful experience. That’s the power of great food!

Vanilla Baba. We couldn’t stop smiling, and a moment of silence fell over us. That’s when we knew the Vanilla Baba had hit the spot. The dessert was the perfect mixture of sweetness with a natural finish. The peaches, calmly covering the creamy ice cream, tasted like a naturally mixed dessert straight from an organic garden of vanilla flavors. Paired with a sweet Sauvignon Blanc, the dessert’s flavors were beautifully elevated.
