The Lodge features a town-sized Bass Pro Shop, bordered by indoor cabin suites, fish-filled rivers, and gigantic water tanks. At the heart of it all is a Cypress swamp surrounded by retail shops in every direction. What’s truly captivating is that you feel like you’re outdoors, even though you’re inside.
The Rooms
The standard rooms are so exquisitely crafted that you’ll feel like you’re in a suite! We were in awe of the design, from the private treehouse balcony attached to our fabulous room to the mountain deer head bringing a touch of nature above our bed.
The Amenities
You’ll never utter the word “bored” when you’re surrounded by an aquatic-themed bowling alley, an archery range, and plenty of fishing activities.
The Restaurant
Next, we elevated our relationship—literally 300 feet above the ground in a freestanding glass elevator—to dine at the hotel’s premier restaurant, The Lookout.
Our eyes were in for a stunning treat. The scenery took our breath away as we gazed over the enchanting Mississippi River and watched the sunset.
The Food & Drinks
The Duck Blind Sunrise cocktail perfectly complemented the serene feeling of being on a beach.
We indulged in Pan Seared Duck and it exceeded all our expectations! Each bite was a delightful surprise, bursting with flavor. We savored every moment of the meal and absolutely loved it.
The BBQ Jumbo Shrimp was a standout dish that truly impressed us. Each shrimp was perfectly grilled, delivering a smoky, savory flavor that was simply irresistible. The succulent texture and rich barbecue glaze made every bite a memorable experience. We couldn’t get enough of this exquisite dish!
As we dined, the serene scenery and tranquil ambiance offered the perfect setting for reflection. The Big Cypress Lodge went above and beyond anything we could have imagined.
