Chicago’s History Museum Announces 25+ Free Admission Days in 2024

The Chicago History Museum will offer free admission from January through March 2024.

Looking to kick off 2024 with some historical knowledge?

The Chicago History Museum has unveiled its schedule for free admission days through March 2024. Starting Tuesday, January 16, you and your family have the opportunity to delve into Chicago’s past and explore a variety of exhibitions and events during the Chicago History Museum free admission days.

The Chicago History Museum is located on Chicago’s North Side near the Lincoln Park community.

The Chicago History Museum provides complimentary admission days for Illinois residents during various times of the year, including significant dates like Presidents’ Day and the Fourth of July. Here are the 2024 free entry dates for Illinois residents at the Chicago History Museum. Remember to carry proper identification to obtain your complimentary pass.

Partner Event | The Jesse Jackson Oral History Project Launch

The Chicago History Museum joins the Chicago Theological Seminary to explore and celebrate the Jesse Jackson Oral History Project. On Thursday, February 8th, you’ll be able to preview recordings of Rev. Jesse Jackson and other civil rights activists who were part of the Chicago Breadbasket Movement. CBS Investigative Reporter Dorothy Tucker will emcee the conversation and you’ll have a chance to hear from several of the interviewees, including Rev. Jesse Jackson, Hermene Hartman, Rev. David Wallace, Rev. Dr. Janette C. WilsonRev. Martin L. Deppe, Mrs. Jacqueline Jackson, and Betty Masson.

Celebrate this year’s Black History Month theme of “African Americans and the Arts.”

Ms. Williams is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at DePaul University. During her time at DePaul she has worked with the Office of Multicultural Student Success and the Office of New Student and Family Engagement. She is also currently the Membership Coordinator for DePaul’s Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists.
