Four of Chicago’s influential REALTORS ® are teaming up to open a new Keller Williams ONEChicago office on the South Side of Chicago.

La’Dweena Smith, CEO of Keller Williams ONEChicago, and REALTORS ® Nate Thompson, Jerome Harper, and Rashauna Scott are on a mission to create equitable opportunities in Chicago’s real estate market. The four leaders plan to invest in and direct the operations of the new Keller Williams ONEChicago office.

“Each of us are familiar with the South Side of Chicago, having grown up in the area, visiting loved ones who live there, and doing business in its neighborhoods,” Nate Thompson, a former designated Managing Broker for the Baird & Warner South Loop and Northwest Indiana offices, said in a statement. “The South Side is essential to the vibrancy of Chicago, and this new space is our way of making sure home buyers, sellers, and agents in the area have the real estate expertise needed for our neighborhoods to thrive.”

Keller Williams ONEChicago announced its new office, investors, and leadership team on December 2, 2022. The grand opening celebration is slated to take place within the next 3 months.

Meet the New Investors of Keller Williams ONEChicago

La’Dweena Smith is the CEO of Keller Williams ONEChicago. She’s been involved in several KW office launches since joining KW in 2008. She has also served as a Productivity Coach, and has been a licensed real estate broker and investor since 2006.

La’Dweena graduated with her B.S. in Business Administration and Hospitality Management from Chicago State University in 1998.

Nate Thompson is the designated Managing Broker for KW ONEChicago, which will include the new office on the South Side. He previously served as the designated Managing Broker for the Baird & Warner South Loop and Northwest Indiana offices. In 2020, Nate was recognized as “Broker of the Year” by Chicago Agent Magazine.

Nate graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University. Prior to receiving his real estate license, he was a radio personality in Chicago, Mobile, Ala., and Buffalo, N.Y.

Jerome Harper is the Senior Vice President of Growth at Keller Williams ONEChicago. He previously served as the Assistant Manager for the Baird & Warner South Loop and Northwest Indiana offices. In 2000, Jerome started his career in real estate. He has been recognized as a Chicago Association of REALTORS ® Neighborhood Award winner.

Jerome attended DePaul University, where he studied organizational leadership, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Rashauna Scott will serve as a business development officer at Keller Williams ONEChicago. She previously served as a real estate broker at Kale Realty. In 2021, she was recognized as a “Top Producer,” by the Chicago Association of REALTORS ®. Blavity recognized her as one of “5 Chicago Changemakers To Keep An Eye On in 2018.”

Rashauna graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship and Management from Governors State University.

“Real estate is the best investment for our neighborhoods,” Rashauna said in a statement. “Our goal is to help the community navigate through the challenges of home ownership and create generational wealth. We are honored by this opportunity to provide sophisticated service, support, and education in the communities that are near and dear to our hearts.”
