    A reason. A season. A lifetime.

My professional life reads like a short novel and has the sound of a few great songs: “These Are the Times of My Life,” “Moon River,” and “I Did It My Way!”

January 1993, a new beginning, after departing from my Academic career at the City Colleges of Chicago and the launch of The Kimberly Group, a promotional entity, where I am the President and CEO.

City Colleges is where my communications background began, dating from March 1980 to the present. There I provided production and media coverage for the annnual U.S. Women and Trades Conference.

The Kimberly Group would become the pathway to one of the most intriguing elements of my professional journey. Some of the events I worked on in past years: The 1997 National Association of Black Journalists Conference where President Bill Clinton appeared as the keynote speaker, The 1996 U.S. Olympics, The 1996 National Democratic National Convention, Director of Corporate and Media Affairs for Donald Trump’s 2001 Miss U.S.A. Proud moments on the journey have been the opportunity to mentor more than 100 individuals. In March of 2000, I was honored by the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boys & Girls Club of Chicago, and awarded the Dr. King Legacy Award for my mentoring.

I am the Founder of Women of Substance, Men Committed to a Better Community, the Corporate Women’s Network, A Commitment to Fallen Angels. And as one song writer once wrote, my latest and my greatest “Champagne and Beyond” a publication for women achievers and beyond.

For everything there is a season.
