Chicago native Ross Mac is bringing the bag home again.

The Maconomics Wealth Summit Weekend returns to Chicago from July 18–20, 2025. This high-energy, multi-day experience is designed to help attendees build wealth, gain confidence, and foster a mindset of generational impact. Now in its third year, the summit will take place at Whitney M. Young Magnet High School, with special events hosted throughout the city, including a yacht party on Lake Michigan and a community basketball classic.

The summit was founded by Ross Mac, a proud South Shore native and Chicago Southsider, who has dedicated his career to making financial education more accessible.

An Ivy League–educated entrepreneur and bestselling author, Mac graduated from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and began his career on Morgan Stanley’s sales and trading desk. He later returned to Chicago to work at GCM Grosvenor, a global alternative asset management firm with more than $75 billion in assets under management.

Reconnecting with his roots, Mac launched Maconomics—a financial education platform that blends entertainment and practical insights. His content has been featured on Revolt TV, BET, and Complex, and he’s a regular contributor to Yahoo Finance. He was also featured in the top-rated Netflix documentary Get Smart With Money.

Over the course of the 2025 Maconomics Wealth Summit weekend, attendees will hear from leading financial educators, entrepreneurs, and celebrities who are using their platforms to build wealth and elevate their communities.

  • Tiffany “The Budgetnista” Aliche – Financial educator and NYT bestselling author
  • Antoine Walker – Former NBA All-Star turned wealth coach
  • Brandon Copeland – NFL player and Ivy League professor
  • Chris Sain, 9to5 Millionaire, Korporate, and HGTV’s Kristyn Patterson

The weekend kicks off on Friday, July 18 with a VIP Welcome Dinner, where guests can network with speakers, sponsors, and other attendees in an intimate setting.

The main event takes place on Saturday, July 19, at Whitney Young High School, where hundreds of attendees will gather for a full day of panels, workshops, and keynote speeches. Topics will range from real estate and investing to entrepreneurship, insurance, and money mindset.

The weekend wraps up on Sunday, July 20 with the Celebrity Basketball Classic and Backpack Giveaway, a free community event hosted in partnership with the Maconomics Foundation. The event brings together celebrities and community leaders to give back, with over 500 backpacks expected to be distributed to local youth.

That evening, guests will head to Navy Pier for an All-White Yacht Party aboard the Anita Dee II, a high-energy celebration with skyline views, music, and fireworks.
