The UniverSoul Circus, the nation’s only Black-owned circus, has returned to Washington Park to celebrate its 30th anniversary with the ‘Cousins Around The World’ Family Reunion Tour.
Having entertained more than 25 million people globally, UniverSoul offers a highly interactive experience that blends circus arts, theater, and music. The performances span a wide range of genres, including classic R&B, Latin, hip hop, jazz, gospel, and pop.
UniverSoul Circus also maintains strong ties to the Chicago community. On Thursday, September 19th, the UniverSoul Circus partnered with Ignite, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting youth experiencing housing instability. A portion of the Chicago ticket sales was donated to help Ignite’s mission to end youth homelessness for individuals ages 10-26.
This milestone tour will wrap up on Monday, October 14, 2024, and feature a blend of entertainment, including hoop divers, Havana night skaters, China soul flyers, and the Caribbean Carnivale. Tickets start at $25 and can be purchased here.
